Europe Travel Volcanic Ash
Where can I travel where the American Dollar is real strong and crime/country debt is low?

I am a 28 year old male that is unemployed. My friend and I (He is also unemployed) were wandering where we can get the most bang for our buck right now. I know the southern hemisphere is in winter right now. Argentina is my #1 but its going to get cold. Europe and the Euro are crumbling right now but you have that dang volcanic ash cloud threatening everything over there. Any suggestions? Would Croatia, French Polynesia or Japan be a good bet where I can get more bang for my dollar?

FORGET Japan- Everything there is VERY expensive.

I’d say Cambodia- Google Siem Reap (city name) and the ruins of Angkor Wat/Angkor Thom/Ta Phrom. Amazing sites. Cambodia is much underrated as a tourist destination. The airfare is a lot to get there, but once there, you can rent a room for $15/day (if you can deal with no air conditioning) and food and souvenirs, etc are cheap.

China is also pretty good, but since the 2008 Olympics, the general cost of things in Bejing and Shanghai rose considerably. Go for more rural, off-the-beaten-track locales if you choose China. :)
