Europe Travel Problems
Do i need my student ID when travelling around europe?

im an international student studying in the UK. i am planning to go around europe in september, the problem is . my study finishes on the 23rd of sep. so ill only be a student till that date. however, my student visa will end in january. will that cause any problems when travelling between countries? ill apply for the shengen during the next month. i am afraid that it will cause me problems after that date. any ideas?

You do not state your citizenship which would be necesssary to determine your visa requirements.
Check the attached yes/no questionaire for Schengen visa. If you need a visa for Germany you will need it for all other Schengen countries since they apply to a common list of visa exempt countries.

If you need to get a Schengen visa you will need to provide proof that you are able to stay in the United Kingdom for at least another three month beyond your stay in the Schengen zone. Students need to show a letter of their institute of studies stating that they are enrolled for the next term and when it starts. If your studies are finished on the 23rd of September you only have the chance to apply for a Schengen visa valid for until the 23th of June. Forget about going around Europe in September!..

Should you hold an American passport you just can enter the Schengen zone with your passport and will get an entry stamp which grants you to stay for up to 90 days within a six month period in the entire Schengen zone.
