How can I save money on airfare and expenses on my upcoming trip to Europe?
I will be traveling to Europe, starting in the UK, and going from there by plane to Paris, then to Italy; Rome and Venice, and then to Spain; Barcelona. I would also like to squeeze in Greece if I can afford it. I want to stay for around a month. My travel dates are flexible, but I would like to avoid the summertime tourist traffic. Does anyone have any recommendations for saving money? I am very flexible with destinations and timing.
When I traveled Europe, I purchase a Eurorail pass that was good for train travel between countries throughout most of the European mainland countries. Obviously you will not be able to travel by train everywhere, but it saved me money non-the-less, and it was certainly more comfortable napping on a train than in a plane… at least for me.
